TRAVEL & LODGING
The closest airport is Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). DTW has one stop connections to most major Indian cities, and direct flights to/from most US cities.
The Westin Book Cadillac is about 20 miles from the airport.
All of our weekend events will occur at The Westin Book Cadillac.
Update August 15, 2024: Unfortunately, all the rooms in our block booking at the Westin Book Cadillac have now been reserved. We suggest booking at the Book Cadillac or The David Whitney, or Hotel Indigo Downtown Detroit (links below).
Hotel Indigo is just across Washington Blvd from the Westin Book Cadillac
The Book Cadillac is only a block away from Campus Martius - a lively hub of restaurants, pubs and nightlife in the city.
A 10 minute walk brings you to the Detroit Riverfront, a promenade that lines the Detroit River, with Windsor, Canada to the south (yes, south!).
The Motor City was—not surprisingly—designed for cars. Today, the fastest and most convenient way to get around the sprawling metropolis is by vehicle. Visitors without a car can explore downtown Detroit via the QLine streetcar, People Mover light rail, rideshare apps, and a comprehensive bus system. With its flat terrain and ample bike lanes, Detroit is a cycle-friendly city. Download the Transit app to access its MoGo bike-sharing program.
Traveler tips
Visit museums! Detroit is proud of its vibrant history, which is beautifully presented in its dozens of museums. The Detroit Institute of Arts, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Greenfield Village, Motown Museum, and Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History all offer engaging exhibits centered around the city and the world as a whole.
